Discovering Your New Identity
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:9-17, John 1:12-13
Devotional:
You are not defined by your past, your mistakes, or your struggles. If you are in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has passed away; the new has come. This isn't just positive thinking—it's spiritual reality.
You've been adopted into the royal family of God. You're not just forgiven; you're a son or daughter of the Most High King. The Holy Spirit dwells within you, empowering you to live differently. Yet many believers remain chained to cells with unlocked doors, comfortable in familiar shame rather than stepping into their true identity.
Understanding who you are in Christ breaks the power of isolation. You're no longer the addict, the failure, or the rejected one. You're beloved, chosen, and empowered. This identity isn't earned through performance but received through faith.
Today, declare your true identity: "I am a new creation in Christ, a child of God, filled with His Spirit."
