The Danger of Self-Deception
Reading: Galatians 6:3-5
Devotional:
Pride whispers that we're something special when we accomplish tasks in our own strength. But Scripture warns us against self-deception. When we think we're indispensable—that the church, our workplace, or our family can't function without us—we've elevated ourselves beyond our true position. God doesn't need us; He chooses to use us. There's a profound difference. Today, examine areas where you've believed the lie that you're irreplaceable. Are you taking credit for what God has done through you? Remember, you are treasured by God not because of what you do, but because of whose you are. Confess any areas of self-importance and ask God to give you an accurate view of yourself—loved beyond measure, yet completely dependent on Him.
