The Beauty of Perseverance
Reading: James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 1:6-7
Devotional:
A rock becomes beautiful through tumbling or grinding—constant friction that removes imperfections. Your life in Christ follows the same pattern. The trials you face, the difficult people you encounter, the seasons that challenge your faith—these aren't interruptions to your spiritual growth; they ARE your spiritual growth. God uses every uncomfortable situation to polish away pride, selfishness, impatience, and fear. The process isn't quick or painless, but the result is worth it. When you emerge from the tumbler of life's challenges, you'll reflect Christ more clearly. Others will see something genuinely beautiful in you—not manufactured religion, but authentic transformation. Don't despise the grinding seasons. They're producing something precious. Hold onto hope. The same God who began this work will complete it. You're becoming exactly who He created you to be.
