Standing Firm Against Deception
Reading: Colossians 2:6-8; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; 1 John 4:1
Devotional: The Colossian church faced smooth-talking false teachers who twisted Scripture and added human requirements to the Gospel. Nothing has changed. Today's deceptions may wear different clothes, but the enemy's tactics remain the same. Stand firm in the truth: salvation comes through Christ alone—not Christ plus anything else. When we stay rooted in Scripture and committed to prayer, we recognize lies immediately. The Holy Spirit alerts us: "Don't go there. Don't click that. Don't believe that." Epaphras labored earnestly in prayer for the Colossians to "stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God." Who are you praying for with that intensity? False teaching crumbles when believers know the Word and live it out authentically. Today, commit to reading Scripture daily and testing every teaching against God's truth.
