Reading: Colossians 4:5-6; Ephesians 4:29; 1 Peter 3:15-16
Devotional: Your words carry eternal weight. Paul instructs us to let our speech "always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt." Salt preserves, flavors, and creates thirst. Our conversations should make others thirsty for the living water of Jesus. But grace must lead—not condemnation, not know-it-all arrogance, not dull religiosity. We have the most exciting news in the world: freedom from sin and eternal life through Christ! Our delivery should match the message. Be ready to share your testimony—no one can refute what God has done in your life. Conduct yourself with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of every opportunity. That means being alert to divine appointments in grocery stores, workplaces, and parking lots. Today, ask God for one opportunity to speak grace-filled, salty words that point someone toward Jesus.
