Reading: Colossians 3:18-19, Ephesians 5:21-33
Devotional: Biblical submission is not weakness but voluntary trust in God's design. Just as Christ submitted to the Father's will, wives who choose to be subject to their husbands demonstrate spiritual strength, not inferiority. This submission is "fitting in the Lord"—it pleases God, not because women are less valuable, but because they trust God's order. Simultaneously, husbands are called to sacrificial love that mirrors Christ's love for the church. This isn't about power but partnership under God's authority. Both roles require dying to self and elevating the other. In your marriage, are you competing for control or cooperating in Christ? True biblical marriage happens when both partners submit first to God, then serve each other selflessly, creating unity that reflects the Trinity itself.
