Reading: 1 John 1:5 — This verse declares that God is entirely light, with no darkness in him whatsoever.
Devotional: We live in a world that blurs the line between right and wrong, between light and shadow. But God does not blur. He is light — completely, purely, without exception. That means every good thing in your life traces back to him. Every moment of clarity, every act of genuine kindness, every unexpected peace in the middle of chaos — that is God's nature breaking through. When life feels dark and you are tempted to wonder if God is responsible for the pain, remember: darkness is not in him. He does not author confusion, evil, or destruction. He enters it. He shines into it. The invitation today is simple. Stop trying to find God in the darkness of your circumstances and start looking for the light he is already shining into them. What area of your life needs you to look for his light rather than stare at the shadow?
Practical Application: Write down one situation in your life that feels dark or confusing. Spend five minutes in prayer asking God to show you where his light is already present in that situation.
