Daily Devotion 10/06/2026

Reading: Acts 1:8 — Jesus tells his followers that when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, they will receive power and will be his witnesses, beginning where they are and extending outward to the ends of the earth.
Devotional: John writes with the authority of someone who saw Jesus, heard him, and touched him with his own hands. His testimony was personal and unshakable. You may not have walked the roads of first-century Judea, but if Jesus has changed your heart, you carry a testimony that no one can take from you. You do not need theological credentials to share what he has done. You do not need the right words or the perfect moment. You need honesty. When someone asks how you are walking through a hard season with any measure of peace, that is your moment. Your story, however ordinary it feels to you, is exactly what someone near you needs to hear.
Reflection Question: When did Jesus become real to you in a personal way, and how long has it been since you told someone about it?
Practical Application: Write down in two or three sentences what Jesus has done in your life. Keep it simple. Look for one opportunity this week to share it naturally in conversation.
