Compelled to Speak - Living in Revival

Reading: Acts 4:18-20 -- After being commanded by religious authorities to stop speaking about Jesus, Peter and John respond by saying they cannot stop speaking about what they have seen and heard. Their encounter with the risen Christ is not something they are able to keep silent about.

Devotional: Revival is not a scheduled event on a church calendar. It is the natural overflow of a life that has genuinely encountered Jesus. When you have truly met him -- when something has broken and changed on the inside -- you cannot help but speak about it. The disciples on the road to Emmaus felt their hearts burning within them before they even fully understood what was happening. That burning is the Holy Spirit drawing you outward. True revival costs something. It may cost you comfort, friendships, or reputation. But a life set on fire by the presence of God is not a life that can be quietly contained. Go and tell what you have seen and heard.

Reflection: When is the last time your faith cost you something? When is the last time you spoke about Jesus to someone outside the walls of a church building?

Practical Application: Think of one person in your life who does not yet know Jesus. Pray for them by name every day this week. Then look for one natural opportunity to share what God has done in your life -- not a rehearsed speech, but simply your honest story.
