Daily Devotion 09/03/26

Reading: Romans 12:1-2 -- Paul urges believers not to be shaped by the patterns of this world but to be transformed through the renewing of their minds, so they can discern what God's will is -- what is good, pleasing, and perfect.

Devotional: After the disciples recognized Jesus at the table, they did not stay seated. Despite the late hour and the long road they had already traveled, they rose and went immediately back to Jerusalem to tell others. Recognition produced renewal, and renewal produced movement. A fully charged life in Christ does not sit idle. But renewal is not a one-time event -- it is a daily discipline. When you stop pressing into God, you begin operating on empty, and an empty life cannot love well, serve well, or endure well. Return to the source daily. Let him refill what the world drains out of you.

Reflection: Where in your life are you currently operating on empty? What has caused you to drift from the daily rhythms that keep you spiritually renewed?

Practical Application: Identify one specific habit -- whether prayer, Scripture reading, worship, or community -- that you have allowed to lapse. Commit to restarting that habit today and maintaining it for the next seven days.
