Go in Peace -- Letting God Redefine You

Reading: Luke 7:48-50 -- Jesus speaks directly to the woman, declaring that her sins are forgiven and that her faith has saved her. He then sends her away with a word of peace.

Devotional: The woman entered that house defined by her sin. She left defined by her faith. Jesus did not simply forgive her past -- he gave her a new identity and a new direction. The word peace he spoke over her was not merely an absence of conflict. It was a declaration of wholeness, of restored standing, of a life no longer held hostage by what she had done. Romans 5:8 reminds us that God demonstrated his love toward us while we were still sinners. He did not wait for you to become worthy. He acted first. Now he invites you to stop letting the world, your past, or your own shame define you, and to let him speak the final word over your life instead.

Reflection Question: What old identity or past failure are you still allowing to define you, even after coming to faith?

Practical Application: Write out a declaration based on what Scripture says about who you are in Christ. Read it aloud each morning this week as a reminder that God's word about you carries more authority than your history.
