Daily Devotion 08/24/26

Reading: Luke 7:36-37 -- The passage describes a woman known as a sinner who, upon hearing that Jesus was present, made her way to him without hesitation or invitation.

Devotional: Jesus did not wait for people to clean themselves up before welcoming them. He sat at tables with the broken, the outcast, and the overlooked. The woman in this passage had no formal invitation, yet she came anyway because something in her knew that Jesus would not turn her away. You may feel disqualified by your past, your failures, or the labels others have placed on you. But the same Jesus who welcomed her welcomes you. He sees you not as the world defines you, but as someone worth pursuing. Come as you are.

Reflection Question: What label or past mistake has kept you from believing you are truly welcome in God's presence?

Practical Application: Write down one thing you have been afraid to bring before God. Bring it to him today in prayer, trusting that you are already seen and already welcomed.
