The God Who Never Changes
Reading: Hebrews 13:8; Exodus 34:6-7
Devotional:
We often struggle with the perception that the God of the Old Testament differs from the God of the New Testament. Yet Scripture consistently reveals a God who is "gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in love." From Moses to Jonah to Jesus, God's character remains unchanged. He hates sin just as much today as He did thousands of years ago, yet His mercy flows just as freely. This unchanging nature isn't restrictive—it's liberating. You can trust Him completely because He will never suddenly abandon His promises or alter His love toward you. When circumstances shift and life feels unstable, anchor yourself in this truth: your God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His faithfulness doesn't fluctuate with your performance or feelings.
