Seek First the Kingdom

Reading: Matthew 7:7-8; Jeremiah 29:13

Devotional: Seeking God is not a one-time event but a daily discipline. It requires intentionality. You must set aside distractions, silence the noise, and press into His presence through prayer, Scripture, fasting, and community. Mountains in your life—lies you believe, addictions you carry, pain you harbor—will not move without seeking God wholeheartedly.

God is not a genie who grants wishes. He is a Father who wants relationship. He answers emergency prayers, but He longs for daily conversation. When you seek Him first, everything else falls into proper perspective. The more you press in, the more you receive. The more you know Him, the more you want Him.

Reflection: What mountains are standing in your way? What lies have you believed about God, yourself, or your circumstances? Are you seeking God only in emergencies, or are you pursuing Him daily?

Application: Commit to one specific spiritual discipline this week—whether it is reading Scripture daily, setting aside time for focused prayer, or fasting from something that distracts you from God. Seek Him first, and watch Him move.
