Relationship, Not Transaction
Reading: Romans 5:8 — This verse describes how God demonstrated his love for humanity by sending Christ to die on our behalf while we were still sinners, not after we had earned it or cleaned ourselves up first.
Devotional: The most powerful evangelism rarely begins with a single conversation. It begins with a relationship built over months and years, where someone watches you love them without conditions, stay without ultimatums, and forgive without scorekeeping. God did not wait for humanity to become worthy before sending his Son. He acted first, out of love, while we were still in our worst state. When we reflect that same posture toward the people around us, we become living evidence that the gospel is real. You do not save anyone. Jesus does. Your role is simply to remain in the relationship long enough for them to see him in you.

Reflection Questions:
- Have you ever treated evangelism as a transaction, withdrawing from a relationship when someone did not respond the way you hoped?
- How does understanding that God loved you first change the way you love others?
